How to Submit a Full Paper
(This type of submission can be submitted to the Business Knowledge Research pillar or the Business Learning & Education Research pillar)
- Step 1: Download the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Full Paper Submission TEMPLATE (NOTE: We are no longer accepting Full Paper and any competition entry submissions; link de-activated) to prepare your Full Paper submission document for uploading into the Conference Management System (CMS)
- Step 2: Log in to the CMS, then go to the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal.” under the submitter menu.
- Step 3: Click on the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal” link
- Step 4: Select either the Business Knowledge Research pillar or the Business Learning & Education Research pillar

Step 5: Select the Track that best fits your intended Full Paper submission
- List of Tracks for Business Knowledge Research Pillar
- List of Tracks for Business Learning & Education Research Pillar
- Step 6: Select “Full Paper” for your submission type
- Step 7:
- Enter the Title for your Abstract submission and a 50-word description into the appropriate fields
- From the “Stage of Research” drop-down menu, select the most appropriate field describing the stage of your submission
- Select two (2) topics and one (1) method from the drop-down menus that best describe your submission
- Click on “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 8:
- In the “Add/Search for Author by Last Name” text box, type in a search for the last name of any co-authors for your Full Paper submission
- If an author is found in the CMS, click on the author and specify whether or not the individual will be a Non-Presenter or a Presenter by clicking on the appropriate link
- If an author is not found in the CMS, create a new user account for the missing author; you will need the following information about the missing author: First and Last name, email address, affiliation, physical address to create the new user account in the CMS.
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 9:
- Click on the “Upload a Proposal” link to upload the PDF version of your Full Paper submission document; be sure that you have followed the guidelines in the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Full Paper Submission TEMPLATE (NOTE: We are no longer accepting Full Paper and any competition entry submissions; link de-activated) or it may not be printed properly in the conference program or conference proceedings
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished; a confirmation email for your submission will be sent to you
- Step 10: Submitting Your Full Paper
- Click on . . . to upload the PDF version of your revised Full Paper submission document; be sure that you have followed the guidelines in the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting FINAL Full Paper Submission TEMPLATE or it may not be printed properly in the conference program or conference proceedings
- Click “Upload and Continue”. . . a confirmation email for your submission will be sent to you.
- After the submission deadline your Full Paper Submission will go though a double blind review process. Once the reviews are complete you will be notified by the Track Chair if your paper has been accepted or rejected.
- If your submission is accepted, use your posted peer reviews and the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting FINAL Full Paper Submission TEMPLATE prepare your paper for the Final Proceedings Upload.
How to Submit an Abstract
(This type of submission can be submitted to the Business Knowledge Research pillar or the Business Learning & Education Research pillar)
- Step 1: Download the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Abstract, Panel Proposal, or Workshop Proposal Submission TEMPLATE to prepare your Abstract submission document for uploading into the Conference Management System or CMS
- Step 2: Log in to the CMS and click on the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal.”
- Step 3: In the Submitters Menu, click on the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal” link
- Step 4: Select either the Business Knowledge Research pillar or the Business Learning & Education Research pillar

Step 5: Select the Track that best fits your intended Abstract submission

- Step 6: Select Abstract for your submission type
- Step 7:
- Enter the Title for your Abstract submission and a 50-word description into the appropriate fields
- From the “Stage of Research” drop-down menu, select the most appropriate field describing the stage of your submission
- Select two (2) topics and one (1) method from the drop-down menus that best describe your submission
- Click on “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 8:

How to Submit a Panel Proposal
(This type of submission can be submitted to the Business Knowledge Research pillar, the Business Learning & Education Research pillar, or the Professional Development pillar)
- Step 1: Download the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Abstract, Panel Proposal, or Workshop Proposal Submission TEMPLATE to prepare your Panel Proposal submission document for uploading into the Conference Management System or CMS
- Step 2: Log in to the CMS then go to the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal” link.
- Step 3: In the Submitters Menu, click on the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal” link
- Step 4: Select either the Business Knowledge Research pillar, the Business Learning & Education Research pillar, or the Professional Development pillar
- Step 5: Select the Track that best fits your intended Panel Proposal submission (for the Professional Development pillar, please select the most appropriate “Panels” track)
- Step 6: Select “Panel” for your submission type
- Step 7:
- Enter the Title for your Abstract submission and a 50-word description into the appropriate fields
- In the “Setup Notes” field, enter details about special room requirements for your panel; leave blank if no special room requirements are needed
- Click on “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 8:
- In the text box to the right of “Step 3. Add presenters’ names only” search for the last name of any Panelists or Moderators to be added to your workshop; note that the search results will be displayed below
- Click on the appropriate link to add your additional Panelist or Moderator to the Panel Proposal submission
- If your Panelist or Moderator does not exist in the system, click on the “Add Unlisted Participant” link to create a CMS account for them, and add them to your submission; you will need the following information about the missing author: First and Last name, email address, affiliation, physical address to create the new user account in the CMS
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 9:
- Click on the “Upload a Proposal” link to upload the PDF version of your Panel Proposal submission document; be sure that you have followed the guidelines in the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Abstract, Panel Proposal, or Workshop Proposal Submission TEMPLATE or it may not be printed properly in the conference program or conference proceedings
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished; a confirmation email for your submission will be sent to you
How to Submit a Workshop Proposal
(This type of submission can be submitted to only the Professional Development pillar)
- Step 1: Download the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Abstract, Panel Proposal, or Workshop Proposal Submission TEMPLATE to prepare your Workshop Proposal submission document for uploading into the Conference Management System or CMS
- Step 2: Log in to the CMS and click on “Submit and Abstract, Paper, or Proposal”
- Step 3: In the Submitters Menu, click on the “Submit an Abstract, Paper or Proposal” link
- Step 4: Select the Professional Development pillar
- Step 5: Select the “Workshop” track for your Workshop Proposal submission
- Step 6, Select “Workshop” for your submission type
- Step 7:
- Enter the Title for your Abstract submission and a 50-word description into the appropriate fields
- In the “Setup Notes” field, enter details about special room requirements for your workshop; leave blank if no special room requirements are needed
- Click on “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 8:
- In the text box to the right of “Step 3. Add presenters’ names only” search for the last name of any Workshop Coordinators or Presenters to be added to your workshop; note that the search results will be displayed below
- Click on the appropriate link to add your additional Workshop Coordinator or Presenter to the Workshop Proposal submission
- If your Workshop Coordinator or Presenter does not exist in the system, click on the “Add Unlisted Participant” link to create a CMS account for them, and add them to your submission; you will need the following information about the missing author: First and Last name, email address, affiliation, physical address to create the new user account in the CMS
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished
- Step 9:
- Click on the “Upload a Proposal” link to upload the PDF version of your Workshop Proposal submission document; be sure that you have followed the guidelines in the 2014 DSI Annual Meeting Abstract, Panel Proposal, or Workshop Proposal Submission TEMPLATE or it may not be printed properly in the conference program or conference proceedings
- Click “Accept and Continue” when finished; a confirmation email for your submission will be sent to you
